OUR COURSES

There are three courses to choose from, each primed for a different type of student. Together, they make up a comprehensive show production programme – and will take anyone, no matter the background, from student to a show professional in a matter of months.

THE PLAYBOOK

Our 12-week putting on a show course is the big one, the numero uno. It's the ultimate playbook. It's geared towards those that have already dipped their toes into the world of events or beyond – existing event professionals (or businesses), newbie event graduates or those in another area of the industry (dancers, choreographers etc) that want to take things to the next level.

THE RUN-THROUGH

If you're bright-eyed and bushy tailed in the world of show, our six-week introductory course is a good place to start. It's lighter and shorter for a reason, and it will give you all the essentials you need to either get started from scratch or refresh your skills. It's geared towards those totally new to the industry, perhaps pivoting from another career, and those in-industry who need to top-up their skills.

THE PRELUDE

Our six-week events management course is specially designed to bring students up to speed on the latest strategies for logistically planning, managing and running a live show today. It's essential you know your BOH areas from your briefing strategy. If this is your very first interaction with show production, this course is mandatory so that we can train you up from a foundation of grounded production knowledge.

The cost of this six-week course is £500. If you are interested please register and we will be in touch with upcoming course dates.

ONE-TO-ONE

If you've finished your training, or you're an industry professional that needs a hand, you can book one-to-one mentoring with our Founder Sarah Goodchild. A seasoned pro in show production, Sarah has worked across everything from presidential election campaigns in New York to live branded concerts with the likes of Little Mix. You can use these mentor sessions for career planning, project problem solving, unblocking bottlenecks at agencies or guidance on how to land your dream role.

We offer 3x sessions (45 mins each) for £180. Please get in touch to discuss your requirements by emailing hello@puttingonashow.co.uk

  • "When I trained with Sarah I found her really inspiring. She was honest about the work and always encouraged us to ask questions. She made it fun and as soon as we were on site and seeing it all come together, I was hooked. She got me my first job in NYC!"

    - Tania

  • "Sarah gave me the confidence I needed to quit my job and change careers. I loved learning with her, I found there was a lot to take in at first because I hadn't studied in a while but now, I am working on a tour and using what I learnt every day."

    - Daniel

  •  "I had a great time while learning about something that I had always wanted to do."

    - Jodie
